One of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received is my mom coming to Fuquay and caring for Mae two days a week. Her presence is a wonderful start to our week, but most importantly, Mae lights up when she sees her. She says “Tutu” again and again. They have such a special relationship.
On Mondays and Tuesdays I get texts from Mom with a report of their day together. It makes my heart so happy when I’m at work to get these messages. Having Mom here is a blessing, and y’all know I don’t use that word lightly. Such a blessing.
Here’s Tutu’s “diary” of today:
We found purple flowers on our car ride and felt the good soil under the leaves and enjoyed the swing with little bear.
Warm water in the play table on the back porch.
