Figuring Out Home…again and again

The title of my blog has really become fitting over the past months. Jimmy and I moved from Greenville to my uncle’s house in Raleigh, which he promptly, and luckily, sold within a month of us staying there. We are now in Fuquay-Varina renting a room from some friends, while we try to sell our home in Greenville. We truly don’t know where home is at the moment. However, we have started to explore “The Quay” and its surrounding areas. It’s amazing what you can find when you actually start looking.

Two of our best finds yet are Aviator Brewing Company, a brewery and restaurant, and Sunni Sky’s Homemade Ice Cream  in Angier, just a few miles down the road.

Aviator has some really delicious beers. You can sample all of them for just $5! I recommend Devils Tramping Ground Tripel, a high gravity Belgian ale.

Sunni Sky’s has an insane amount of ice cream and sherbet flavors, including very HOT (spicy) ones. One of the hottest is called Exit Wound. They also have pumpkin pie, peach cobbler, eggnog, and about eighty more flavors.

We are trying to make the best of our temporary home and exploring everything around us. Maybe we’ll become brave enough to try out Mama Rabbit’s Motor Lounge, a biker bar we saw on the way to Sunni Sky’s that looked like it was full of cold beer and people with leather skin.
